Channel reassignment in Vodafone cable networks

Senderumbelegung in Vodafone Kabelnetzen

POLYTRON supports hospitals and the hotel industry

The nationwide channel reallocation in Vodafone cable networks began in August 2025 and is expected to be completed by May 2026.

The aim of this measure is to move the channels to new frequencies and at the same time switch to the modern HD format H.264/MPEG4. This will future-proof the cable network and create space for innovative services.

What happens during channel reassignment?

Frequency change: TV and radio stations will be moved to new frequencies.

Switch to H.264/MPEG4: All SD stations will be converted to a more efficient compression method. An HD-compatible receiver is required to continue watching all programs.

What steps do customers need to take?

Preparation: Check whether your TV or receiver is HD-compatible.

Information: Vodafone will inform you in good time by letter or email about the date in your region.
