SDI modulator 4x SDI / ASI to DVB-C / ASI + IPI
The HDS 4 C01 modulator converts four SDI signals and ASI into DVB-C (QAM). The signals are also available as IP streams and can be fed into IPTV networks.
The ASI signal is available at two outputs for further processing. The video format used is MPEG-4 or, optionally, MPEG-2.
The devices in the HDS family are MPEG encoders with an integrated DVB modulator. Depending on the device type, up to 4 SDI signals can be encoded and, from these and an additional ASI transport stream, up to 4 program bouquets in DVB-C or up to 2 program bouquets in DVB-T can be compiled. The integrated modulator generates DVB-compliant signals that contain all necessary program and service tables (PAT, PMT, and SDT). A NIT is also generated.
Furthermore, the output signals are available in parallel at an IP interface and at 2 ASI transport stream outputs for further processing. The devices support the encoding of MPEG2 HD/SD and MPEG4/AVC H.264 HD/SD signals, which can be supplied as SDI signals and ASI transport streams, e.g., from receivers, decoders, or cameras. Depending on the application, the devices are preconfigured on the hardware side. The operating parameters can be adapted to the required application via the integrated user interface (control buttons or web browser).
