SDI modulator 2x SDI/ASI to DVB-C and IP/ASI
The HDS 2 C/IP is an MPEG encoder with an integrated DVB modulator. Up to two SDI signals can be encoded and, together with an additional ASI transport stream, used to compile up to four program bouquets in DVB-C.
The integrated modulator generates DVB-compliant signals that contain all necessary program and service tables (PAT, PMT, and SDT). A NIT is also generated. Furthermore, the output signals are available in parallel at an IP interface and at two ASI transport stream outputs for further processing.
The devices support the encoding of MPEG2 HD/SD and MPEG4/AVC H.264 HD/SD signals, which can be delivered as SDI signals and ASI transport streams, e.g., from media players, decoders, or cameras. Depending on the application, the devices are preconfigured on the hardware side.
