Modular IP-based signal processing with multiplexing

The MPX 106 D pro base unit serves as the central chassis and features 6 slots for accommodating MPX plug-in modules. The maximum power consumption is 400 W.  

The MPX series supports reception of DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, and DVB-C signals, HDMI or SDI encoding from various sources, and output of the signals in DVB-C or DVB-T. In parallel, the signals can be provided as an IP stream. Processing modules enable stream editing and adaptation for various applications. Modules are available for transcoding HD signals to SD, converting between different IP protocols, and encrypting/decrypting signals.

The integrated multiplexing allows for the free combination of programs from the pool of available IP streams. Automatic NIT generation, LCN channel sorting, and simple programming round off the features.

To meet different application requirements, two chassis performance classes are available: the MPX 106 D base unit with a 120 W power supply and 4 GigE RJ45 ports, and the MPX 106 D pro with a 400 W power supply, 4 GigE RJ45 ports, and 2 additional SFP ports for flexible integration into existing IP networks. All chassis feature redundant power supplies and 6 module slots for accommodating various receiver, modulator, or processing modules.
